Conditions
Track days are typically 85-90°C
Handbook pressures
On the road your handbook placard is the authority, so GripCalc does not estimate a target. It adjusts the handbook figure for temperature: pressures set in a warm garage read low on a cold morning.
The air temperature when you last set them, e.g. in the garage.
How much hotter each corner runs
Lap timer PRO
For whoever is on the wall with the pyrometer. Tap once to start, once a lap after that — or press the space bar on a laptop. GripCalc still measures nothing itself: these are your times, timed by you.
The best lap fills the Best lap field above, where you can still correct it. Many track day organisers do not permit timing on open pit lane days — their rules, their call.
Cold pressures to set
Set with the tyres genuinely cold
Pit stops and after the session
Take readings within a minute of coming in. All three zones per corner.
GripCalc never measures lap times. If you enter yours, the share card quotes it as your own and compares it with your last visit here.
Logged with the session: wear per event is what a track day actually costs. Same three-points habit as the pyrometer.
